Hi, thanks for commenting.

I completely get what you're saying, and agree the list is blue-biased. The goal of these basic business wardrobe posts isn't to be the most hip, or to have the most interesting attire at the office.

The goal is to help people build a professional, versatile wardrobe from nothing. Someone in that situation may not be comfortable or competent at mixing and matching a huge variety of colors & styles.

Once someone has the basics for facing job interviews and client meetings, and is comfortable with what's acceptable at his company or in his industry, I'm all for expanding the color palette.

You have given pretty solid advice all around; however, I believe that it is quite possible that you are biased towards blue. Should every guy have a blue shirt in his wardrobe--Yes, of course. But your list needs to take into account the fact that some people's favorite colors are not blue and that at some point on your list, there is actually quite a bit of wiggle room for wearing a color other than blue. I'm not blue bashing. I am just saying there are other options.

Hi Daniel-Mircea,

This is ironic...Google translator says you think the site is "cabbage." I assume that's not a good thing :-)

Anyway, I'm sorry you're disappointed. I know the translations are weird, but since I don't speak Romanian (or French, or Spanish, or Italian, or...), and most definitely don't have a budget for proper translations, this is the only way for me to publish in other languages.

My hope is that most people will recognize this limitation yet still find the odd computer translations useful.

Zeb,

You lucky bastard...I mean, you're a fortunate fellow.

Many guys end up with skin irritations from shaving. For some it's just post-shave red, irritated skin. Others get ingrown hairs, "razor bumps" and other funkiness from repeated shaving.

A thorough wash with soap and hot water after shaving cleans residual shaving cream and other gunk out of the pores. Following this with a cold water rinse closes the pores and prevents additional particles from getting in the pores and causing pimples, etc.

Ending your shave with a good aftershave lotion not only soothes the skin to reduce redness and irritation, but also prevents infection -- both from visible nicks and from micro abrasions.

Hey, so what is aftershave really for? I always thought it was basically a cologne. When I use a sharp razor I never get knicks and such and never use an aftershave. In fact I find that often the shaving cream will leave my skin smooth in good condition.
